"Finally, it is worth mentioning Maestro Carlo Goldstein. Without notes, he conducted skilfully through the evening and was visibly at home in Rossini's piece. He was able to skilfully work around the difficult acoustics of Volksoper, gave the singers space to show their skills and delivered Rossini at his best: buoyant, cheerful, with great finesse and depth without being heavy for even a second - grande bellezza! Cheered revival at the Vienna Volksoper (September 2022)

The revival of Achim Freyer's 25-year-old production of «Cenerentola» at the Wiener Volksoper was a complete success:

"The sales figures at the Volksoper should soon go up again - if the other productions also reach a similar level as the comic Rossini opera. For that was simply world class in many respects.
