Lilia Pocitari News

Debut with the Staatsorchester Oldenburg

Lilia Pocitari opened the season with her debut with the Staatsorchester Oldenburg under Leslie Suganandarajah, performing Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s Concerto funèbre. Following the enthusiastic response from the orchestra, conductor and audience, the NWZ also praised her performance:

“The superb violin soloist Lilia Pocitari […] never places the work’s immense virtuoso demands in the foreground. She simply has them at her command. Her tone, at once refined and powerful, finds its most sensitive expression in the two chorales. […] Masterfully shaped and deeply moving.”
